Ankuran Summer Camp 2024
The Ankuran’s Durgapur Science Centre proudly hosted the Summer Camp 2024 from May 18th to May 26th and welcomed 74 enthusiastic students from classes 6 to 12.
The camp offered a dynamic blend of scientific and recreational activities designed to engage and inspire young minds.
Highlights of the Camp:
- Interactive Labs: Students participated in hands-on sessions in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, deepening their understanding of scientific concepts through practical experiments.
- Fun Games: Engaging activities like Buzz Wire and Blind Man Swag added an element of fun while enhancing problem-solving skills.
- Creative Projects: Participants got engaged in model-making and showcased their creativity through various projects.
- Additional Activities: The camp featured exhibitions, role-plays, Om chanting sessions, yoga, and an exciting quiz competition.
It concluded with a prize distribution ceremony attended by 70 guardians, during which the student’s achievements and enthusiastic participation were celebrated.

Ankuran Science Talent Quest
The Ankuran Science Talent Quest, held on January 6th, 2024, was inaugurated by Bimal Patwari and the Principal of Army Public School, Panagarh. It provided a platform for young minds to engage in scientific exploration. A total of 125 students from 15 different schools participated, showcasing a diverse array of science models and demonstrations. Eminent scientists Prof. Hirak Chaudhuri and Professor Arunabha Banerjee judged the exhibits.

Nari Vigyanik Shakti
On March 6th, 2024, Ankuran’s Durgapur Science Centre, in collaboration with Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, hosted the “Nari Vigyanik Shakti” programme to empower girls in science education. The event brought together 43 girls from various schools, offering them an opportunity to engage with science through hands-on demonstrations in physics, chemistry, and biology. Dedicated faculty members led these demonstrations, providing practical insights that deepened the students’ understanding of scientific concepts. This initiative fostered scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong interest in science among the participating girls.
