Ankuran Summer Camp 2024
The Ankuran’s Durgapur Science Centre proudly hosted the Summer Camp 2024 from May 18th to May 26th and welcomed 74 enthusiastic students from classes 6 to 12.The camp offered a dynamic blend of scientific and recreational activities designed to engage and inspire young minds.


Highlights of the Camp:
Interactive Labs:
Students participated in hands-on sessions in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, deepening their understanding of scientific concepts through practical experiments.
Fun Games:
Engaging activities like Buzz Wire and Blind Man Swag added an element of fun while enhancing problem-solving skills.
Creative Projects:
Participants got engaged in model-making and showcased their creativity through various projects.
Additional Activities:
The camp featured exhibitions, role-plays, Om chanting sessions, yoga, and an exciting quiz competition.
It concluded with a prize distribution ceremony attended by 70 guardians, during which the student’s achievements and enthusiastic participation were celebrated.

“Science Talent Quest” [Science Exhibition- 2024]
On January 6, 2024, an exhibition took place starting at 9:30 AM, with students displaying their exhibits at assigned tables. The event was inaugurated by Bimal Sir and the Principal of Army Public School, Panagarh.
Lunch was provided for participants and teachers. Judging occurred at 3 PM, led by Dr. Prof. Hirak Chaudhuri and Professor Arunabha Banerjee. The final program, including prize distribution, was conducted by Bimal Sir and Jagannath Sir, featuring speeches and the felicitation of guests and principals.
The event concluded at 6 PM, with tea and snacks served to all participating school principals and teachers.


Highlights of the Event:
10 schools (124 Students, 30 Teachers including 6 Principals) participated in this event Almost 50 parents also participated in the event.
Many innovative ideas were placed by students of participating schools like Sewage treatment plant, Blind man’s boot etc.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Durgapur grabbed the first position both in the senior and junior categories.
It concluded with a prize distribution ceremony during which the student’s achievements and enthusiastic participation were celebrated.
